Senator Kennedy has always been a champion of working families, and will continue to fight for them. He believes workers have rights, and that our economy works more effectively when workers are treated with respect. He is committed to a fair wage for all workers, a healthy safe workplace, that the fair retirement benefits that they earn are protected, and he believes their jobs should not be jeopardized by unfair trade agreements.

Working families deserve high quality child care and flexibility in their schedules to care for their children. Senator Kennedy has worked for both these goals, and is a strong supporter of job training to give employees wider skills. He has also long been a strong supporter of a fair minimum wage, so no one who works for a living should have to live in poverty, and an equally strong supporter of family and medical leave, so that employees can take time off to deal with serious health needs.
